The Jordan Times celebrated yesterday its 34th anniversary as the first and currently only English-language daily in Jordan.
The paper’s first issue hit the newsstands on October 27, 1975, issued
by the Jordan Press Foundation (JPF), which also produces Al Rai Arabic
daily and Hatem children’s magazine.
Described by observers as the “world’s window on Jordan”, the daily’s
print edition is a major source of news about Jordan for a majority of
the
playground equipment Kingdom’s non-Arabic speaking residents and guests, while its online version attracts around 100,000 unique visitors a day.
Accordingly, the paper places much importance on local and regional news of interest to its readers.
It focuses on material that responds to the

addition to entire pages dedicated to contributions by key columnists
and in-depth analyses of current affairs.
The JPF, a public shareholding
